From Frankland Estate in Western Australia’s Great Southern this is the first vintage of Gruner Veltliner from experimental plantings (Great Southern is relatively cool, high-altitude and is known for its profound Riesling expressions so the plantings make sense). Only one barrel was made and was barrel fermented and aged in old oak. Lots of texture, clean acid and white pepper.
