Since retiring from his role at Villa Maria, Ollie has become a true Garagiste making small batches of sensational, classically made, minimal intervention in his small, turreted, ivy-covered garage in Napier. This Cab is a true FUTURE CLASSIC and was an absolute hit at our ‘Future of Wine’ tasting in early June. It’s powerful and rich with intense blackcurrant, tobacco and leather but also beautiful herbal florals which lift the wine. It’s a combination of modernist focus with classical touches that both work and express Ollie’s winemaking philosophy perfectly.
