This is arguably one of NZ’s most classic wines despite being from a grape variety that has a pretty mixed history. This wine has had a return to form over the last few years (previous vintages were great, just a lot leaner) with rich partial botrytis characters giving the wine apricot, wax and honey notes overlaid onto hay, chamomile and the characteristic Chenin lanolin note.
